Designed while working for the University of Findlay
This logo was designed for a grant that the University of Findlay won to provide education about trees to the city of Arcadia. For this project, they needed a logo, posters, a trifold, and social media posts.

THE PROCESS
1. Research and mood board
I was inspired by the irregularity of trees and wanted something that looked handmade.
2. Exploration
3. Feedback and revisions
The client loved the idea of the tree rings and how it is an outline of the city. They also liked bringing in the red to connect to the local school. The feedback here was to make the tree rings look more like a cut.
SOLUTION: Simplified lines
4. Final Feedback and revisions
The client like the direction but it still didn’t look quite like they were hoping.
SOLUTION: I went back and added more jagged lines and added more space around the last ‘A’ to help with readability.
